It's Day 1 of the Let's Get Lucky Blog Hop!

MFRW Erotic Bloghop Join 35 erotic romance authors for three days of scorching romance and prizes. I'm offering a winner's choice of any of my ebooks in print now. And I'll sign it for you with Authorgraph . To follow the hop, click the badge on the left!
For my part in this erotic romance hop, I'm offering scorching snippets from two of my novels.

The first comes from Hermes Online a contemporary tale with a little divine meddling.
This CataRomance Sensual Reads Reviewer's Choice Winner of 2011 for Contemporary Romance tells the story of Vivienne, a woman whose self esteem had been crushed, and the unlikely set of circumstances that restored her feminine power. My unusual tale is only seen through Vivienne's eyes. Through her email exchanges etc with the mysterious S, the reader experiences her metamorphosis as she goes from drab and doubt-filled to a confident woman in full vibrant color. I hope you enjoy.

Here's the blurb:

Imagine if you will a story begun in the halls of Mount Olympus long before this modern tale was conceived. It was a time when the god Hermes flew on his winged sandals and carried messages from the gods to the mortals below. And between that time and this, couriers became postmen and handwritten letters became bytes. It is said the gods still speak to those who listen…
Left bruised and brokenhearted after a cruel breakup, Vivienne Bennet finds herself mired in a world of self-doubt. To her surprise, she receives an email that challenges her to rediscover the sensual woman she once was. Together Vivienne and the enigmatic man known only as S embark upon the world of anonymous Internet communication where suggestive emails lead to erotic chat, where cybersex leads to Skype, and C2C sends both into the arms of a love believed lost forever.

Setting the stage - Vivienne is reeling from Dan's spirit-crushing words. For months, the only thing she's seen in the mirror  is a dull, drab, unlovable, loser. S send an email and challenges  her to really look at herself.
Excerpt:
Wow. Another challenge. I wrote back,

S,
You have not yet told me “the one thing” yet. My paint box is waiting.
V

Once more the tiny envelope popped into my mailbox. “You’ve got mail.” He was on the computer at the same time as I was. Imagining that somehow he could see me there through the computer screen sent a small shiver up my back and across my shoulders.

Dearest V,
My eyes are green. I would like you to be these eyes today. Describe yourself to me in full vivid color. Head to toe, V, leave nothing out. Dazzle me with your brilliance.
S

Green eyes. I smiled. I loved green eyes, especially ones that changed shades with the color of clothes or the mood. Sighing with my visual memory, I searched my mind for what he called my palette. The paints in my personal paint box had long since dried out. I reread the last email... Describe yourself to me in full vivid color. Did I even have anything beyond shades of gray anymore? I pictured Dan with erectile dysfunction. The thought added water to my dried-out paints.

S,
Where to begin... I suppose we should start at the top and work our way down...
My hair is long and falls straight to the middle of my back with wispy bangs. The color is cinnamon, copper, golds, auburn, and reds. Not Irish setter-red nor ginger red but red-gold like autumn leaves.
My skin is alabaster, not pallid, not ashen but the faintest pale pink. I am all pinks and reds really...pink in places and rosy in others. My eyes are gray like the lining of a storm cloud. I stand five-foot-six and, at a medium build, weigh one hundred forty-three pounds.
I’m a rounded woman, not chunkily so. I’m round—round rumped, round breasted, defined waist. I have a spattering of freckles on my shoulders and nowhere else. A lover once said they were like stars sprinkled there.
I have smooth, lithe arms and long legs, and delicate feet with a frosted peach pedicure that matches my fingernails. Over my left breast close to my heart I possess a small indelible crescent moon and twinkling stars of henna brown. Is this color enough?
V

I read it, and then, surprised by the image these simple words evoked, I read it again. I could see this color, yes, I did look this way, this was me. I wasn’t a black and white and gray being after all. These simple words I found to describe myself implied I was filled with color. With that realization making my heart beat faster, I clicked send.
There was no instant reply. I could feel it, feel the rise of doubt coming up like a bubble from a sinking submarine. But this time I pushed it away. I looked in my email’s sent folder and reread my painted description once more. To my surprise, my smile returned, and somewhere in my mind, a rainbow started to form—a monochrome rainbow, but a bridge across the pallor of my gray sky.

* * * *

The next day I flew home from work, rushed through a shower, wrote checks to pay some bills, fed my goldfish and myself and went to the computer. My heart was fluttering as I called up the literature site before checking my emails. Overnight I had acquired five more appreciative readers. Their genuine compliments toasting my sensual nature made me feel wonderful. Another color was taking form in my rainbow.
That being done, I accessed my email program. “You’ve got mail,” the happy male voice announced through the speaker while I lip synced.

V,
I can see you in all your glorious color. That was excellent. Your choice of words makes my mouth water. A redhead with star-kissed shoulders, are you? I thought as much. Your description of Lily sounded too personal to be fiction. Do you realize of nine hundred and ninety-nine other people born the same time as you, it is only you who possess red hair? No, I must amend. You have hair of autumn reds and golds. A lovely painting, V. You are unique, one in one thousand. My hair is brown, chestnut brown. Describe this alabaster roundness of yours. I find myself anticipating what words you might choose.
S

I thought a while. What do my breasts look like? Walking down the hall to my full-length mirror, I pulled the thin, worn, but extremely comfortable sweatshirt over my head, ruched my sweatpants down my hips a bit, and stood half naked before the glass. Hmm, I said to myself, eying my breasts critically. I wanted to see them as a man might, wanted to figure out how best to describe these most female attributes. But more than that, I wanted the color my own description might add to my drab life.
Cupping my breasts in both hands, I assessed. They were a good size. My hands were small, and the flesh spilled over and between my splayed fingers. They’d be smaller in a man’s large hands, but still, I was confident they’d overflow. I recalled seeing a lover’s hands doing just that. They did spill over.
Hefting them and making them jiggle in the reflection, I imagined the tag the last time I went bra shopping—thirty-six B, not too big, not too small, cushiony, dense tissue, fairly heavy weight. My nipples poked from between my fingers on both hands. I pressed them together, trapping the buds in a pinch to make them firm up.
Dropping my hands, I assessed the shade of my skin. The contrast between it and the erectile tissue of areola and nipple offered three very distinct shades of pale pink. “Pink like variegated English roses.” I smiled, finding the words in my reflection.
Not bothering to re-dress, I took the shirt and headed back to my computer. I sat there a moment looking down at my chest. My nipples still firm from their tweaking stood straight ahead like the headlights on a ‘58 Ford Fairlane. It made me smile.

My next offering is a peek at The Witchy Wolf and the Wendigo. Written in two parts, the story is based upon a local urban legend. It all started with this question:
What does an immortal Native American shaman do, when the grave he's sworn to watch over for all eternity disappears under urban development?

Blurb:
His purpose of guarding his wife’s burial mound gone, Ashkewheteasu seeks to end his immortal existence. In his despair, he assumes the form of a wolf and steps in front of a moving car and into the life of Dr. Olivia “Livie” Rosalini. The veterinarian saves the animal’s life, and in the process saves the man within. Unbeknownst to Livie, the dog she’s taken into her home and grows to love is a magical being seeking to win her heart as a man.

While Ash is learning a new world filled with new love, friendship, and happiness, an old menace makes plans to steal it all away; just as he had 3000 years before.

Excerpt:

A nose nudged under her arm, drawing her attention from her musings. Olivia hugged him close. “Why can’t a man be as easygoing as a dog, hmm? I need a man in my life, baby. Do you know I haven’t been on a date in almost a year?”

Feeling so happy in her arms, Ash looked at Livie. The Manitou had answered his question, but he didn’t quite know the meaning. He was meant to love the same? Did that mean he was meant to love another woman as fiercely as he’d loved his wife? Or was he to only love Aiyanna?

Aiyanna was no more. Not even her precious bones were left to watch over. Ash felt that familiar tug in his chest. Of course he would always hold her in his heart, for she took a piece of it with her the day she died. When Olivia smiled at him and ruffled his fur, he felt his heart flutter. With an overwhelming desire to kiss her, he licked her wrist instead. It was love he was feeling, love for this gentle woman. Sky Father’s words could only mean he was meant to love Livie as deeply as he’d loved Aiyanna. As soon as the thought took him, he knew in his heart it was true. Ash snuggled closer and breathed in her scent. In this form, his keen sense of smell picked up the sharp astringent odor on her skin. She smelled like the place that treated her head injury. He unexpectedly sneezed right into her armpit.

She laughed. “Eew, I need a bath huh? Yeah, I smell the hospital on me too.” With that, she left the bed. Laying his head on his paws, Ash watched Livie remove her clothing. The last time he’d seen her naked had been from above, but his place on the bed afforded him a vantage point that revealed all of her beauty. Livie was round. Her pale breasts were round and full, accented by nipples and areolas that were tight and pink like a rose petal. Her bottom was round too. Her hips wide and her smooth shapely legs met at her mound, where the short fleece was the color of a month-old kit fox’s fur.

Seeing another stiffy, Olivia leaned over the dog. Holding his face between her hands, she looked him in the eye. “Listen, I understand it’s a male dog thing, but you will not lick yourself on my bed. Go on, get down.”

Her wonderful scent making him dizzy with want, Ash jumped off her bed well aware that his cock had extended in his wolf form. Livie walked naked to the bathroom. He couldn’t help but follow.

She filled the tub, adding a splash of gardenia bath oil to the hot water.

Ash sniffed the air. The smell of her natural female scent had made him hard, but her now-familiar scent of meadow flowers made his balls ache.

At the mirror, Olivia pinned up her hair, then carefully peeled a corner of the bandage back to survey the damage on her temple. Two butterfly stitches held the wound closed where the swelling had split the skin. It appeared to be healing nicely. She hoped she wouldn’t have a scar. Her fingertips tapped the adhesive edge back down and turning from the mirror, she noticed the dog in the doorway. “You can come in puppy, but I plan on soaking a while.” With that she climbed into the steaming water, affording him a glimpse of inviting rose pink between her smooth thighs.

Ash panted, his long pink tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. Livie was literally stealing his breath. He never would have believed it possible to desire another woman like this. Coming closer, he watched transfixed as lathered hands slickly ran over her pinkening skin. In that moment, his entire being ached to follow her pale slippery path with his own darker hands, his darker human hands.

Olivia leaned back and closed her eyes. Sensing the dog was staring at her again, she looked at him. The scarlet dog hard-on projecting from the black and gray fur was impossible to miss. She shook her head. It might be anthropomorphizing on her part, but after years of working with animals, dogs seemed to have very human personalities. She recalled a magazine article she’d read once. It said the average man thought of sex every eleven minutes. She was starting to believe the same was true for male wolf–dog crosses. Careful of the bandage, she washed her face. When she opened her eyes, he was gone.

Ash was just around the corner. Within seconds he’d assumed his human form and with cock in hand began to stroke hard and fast. In his mind, he pictured Livie lying back on her bed, her soft pale thighs wide and her swollen pink lips slick and inviting. He imagined her sky-blue eyes upon him, and felt her reaching for him to come to her. Fueled by desire, he’d run the tip of his cock over her warm pink slit before sinking in a tight slippery plunge. It had been so long since he’d lain with a woman he loved, but he remembered how wonderful it had felt. Her heated body would slowly take him in, all the way to his balls. In his mind’s eye he could almost feel the heat of her wrapped around him. He’d move within her, slowly at first, then he’d ride hard until the pressure unfurled in his balls and her body contracted in pleasure around his. His pace quickened. It had been so long, so long… The throbbing heaviness grew intensely pleasurable and soon friction met fantasy and wrested his climax from deep within.

He heard his unanticipated groan and sucked in his breath. Sure enough a splash from the other room and then the sound of things falling to the floor told him Livie was leaving her bath quickly.

Olivia demanded, “Anybody there?”

Ash instantly shifted into wolf form. She met him sitting just outside the doorway as his wildly wagging tail wiped his seed from the floor behind him.

Livie fastened the towel around her and looked at him expectantly. “Did you hear something? No, you’d be barking, wouldn’t you?” She looked both directions down the hall. “Hmm. I’d swear I heard someone.”

Ash yawned loudly, hoping she’d believe he made the sound. She considered him as if she were wondering if that had been the case.

He followed her to her bedroom and watched her dress.

“Come on, let’s get you fed and walked. No running off now, understand?” She pointed to her head, “This is what happened the last time you ran away.”

Ash felt remorse for that. It wasn’t that he was running away from her at the time, he was running away from living. He’d run no more. His life had meaning again.

After she fed him fish and he relieved his bladder in the grass, she got back into bed. Rubbing her eyes, she reached for the pill bottle on the nightstand, wishing her headache would go away. She patted the spot beside her. “Come up here baby, I don’t want to sleep alone.”

He leapt up and settled beside her, the full length of him pressed along her front while her arm held him tight. Relaxing against her, he soon joined her in sleep. The particularly painful dream returned unbidden.
