Trifextra ~ beast

It's time for the Trifextra -- a mini Trifecta challenge.

Here's how it works: Submit a writing about a beast in an unusual place in 33 words.

Here's mine:

After days of precise chews,
holes became footholds when the cardboard tube stood in the corner. Now on the other side of the terrarium, his saber-toothed grin widened. They called him a Hamster!

Happy Halloween!

  1. *hahaha* So that's why they're always trying to get out of their safe, warm habitats... :)

  2. Ha! I really enjoyed this one.

  3. Oh my gosh, that picture!! How haunting! I love little furry guys, but yes, you're right. They are constantly trying to escape. Thanks for linking up. I love the image of the hamster chewing footholds. Too funny.

  4. A teacher colleague of mine was walking and this mouse approached her and stood on its hind legs. She wasn't familiar with hamsters but she knew a pet when she saw one. Hamster moved into a classroom for the rest of his life. Last time it wanted to make a break for freedom. Even hamsters love their central heat and air.

  5. I think the guinea pig is even a worst monster...
