I give you seven paragraphs from Loving Leonardo ~ book 1 in an ongoing series. It's an unusual Victorian polyamorous romance written with a touch of reader-interactive art history for an added touch of color.


Setting the Stage: 
Conte Bruno has taken Ellie and a deal is on the table. Nicolas can have her back, but Luca must stay. Having Luca is an old obsession for the Conte.

My Seven: 
“Where is my wife?”
 
Luca stopped me with his extended arm. In a voice dripping with menace, he said, “Stop this game. Where is Ellie?”
 
“She is upstairs. A bit ruffled, but otherwise unharmed for now.”
 
Alarmed, I said, “What do you mean?”
 
The Conte took his sweet time answering. He spoke directly to Luca, as if I weren’t standing there. “He knows very well you belong to me now.”
 
I wished I had a revolver or a knife, even an axe would do.
 
Luca said, “I’m here, aren’t I? You will bring her to Nicolas now.”
