It's My Sexy Saturday! Participating authors post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words. For me, this time it's 7 paragraphs from Loving Leonardo  ~book 1 in my Victorian polyamorous love story.

Setting the Stage~
In this scene, the newlywed adventurers Nicolas and Ellie board a steamer headed to Venice. They're off to rescue a newly discovered book written and illustrated by Leonardo da Vinci. Here Ellie comments on how tired she is from their non-stop travel. Nicolas finds her company most enjoyable, despite the fact his desires lean in another direction.

My Seven~
I chided, “You ignored my suggestion that you sleep on the coach as I did.”

She stretched and moaned, “Fiddlesticks, is that what you British call sleep? I’m still sore all over from those terrible Scottish roads, and besides, my mind was running over with details and far too active to sleep. How ever you managed it, I still don’t know.”

“What would you have me do? We’ve gone non-stop since that brazen marriage proposal of yours.” Her laugh made me smile.
