#SexySnippets

It's Sunday and time for Sexy Snippets. Participants post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today I'm offering a bit from Loving Leonardo  (book 1 in the series)~ a Victorian, polyamorous adventure.

Setting the Stage~
Ellie proposes marriage as a business arrangement of sorts. She desires the protection and wherewithal his name would provide in aiding her plan to go to Venice to rescue Leonardo da Vinci's unknown book. In this scene, Nicolas has just told her of his future obligation to produce an heir. Considering his natural predilection, this was an unanticipated
detail in her scheme.

My Seven ~
Summoning my straight-faced composure, I said, “We British are nothing if not dutiful. Perhaps with the lights off.” Her expression priceless, I laughed, “I’m teasing you, my dear. Actually, I’ve never attempted to make love to a woman. And truth be told, I don’t see that happening for a good many years yet.”

Something akin to relief shown in her eyes, suggesting if she had say in the matter it would be a long ways into the far-distant future. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it but didn’t have too much time to contemplate my curious reaction to her relief, for next she blurted, “Then lights on or off, we’ll cross that bridge as it comes.

@MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors

It's My Sexy Saturday! Participating authors post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words. The theme this week is My Sexy Addiction.
This time it's 7 sentences from book 2 in my award-winning, Victorian polyamorous love story Loving Leonardo - The Quest.

The Blurb:
Happy and content, lovers Nicolas, Ellie, and Luca embark on a quest to learn all they can about the greatest mind of the Renaissance. But their world takes a devastating and deadly turn that sends Nicolas into the seedy deviant underworld of Victorian London. It soon becomes clear that Conte Acario Bruno lives, and the madman wants far more than Leonardo’s book. He wants Nicolas dead and Luca for himself.

Setting the Stage:
Nicolas, Ellie, and Luca are in Rome with Leonardo da Vinci's provocative book of love. In this scene Ellie and Luca share a moment as Nicolas looks on. The book has inspired more than one sensual encounter between these three.

My Seven:
She wanted me teased, and by god she was going to have it. There was nothing to do but follow. Clothing stripped away among the kisses, I watched my lovers sprawl on the bed side by side and continue what began in the outer room. Seeing open opportunity, I crawled between them. While they busied themselves with hand and lips and dancing tongues, I found other amusements. I nuzzled and tasted, sucked and lapped, just enough to make them want more. Three could play the tease.

>۞<
"The novel has interesting information about Leonardo's work, the romance is both charming and hot and I couldn't put it down. It is very well-written. Thank you Rose! You have created characters that I've fallen in love with. I'll certainly watch for your next novel."

#SexySnippets

Another Sunday and another Sexy Snippets! The idea is to post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering a small sampling from book 2 in my ongoing series ~ Loving Leonardo ~ The Quest.

Setting the Stage:
My trio travels to Paris to continue their quest. Nicolas takes a moment to appreciate his companions.

My Seven:
Sure enough, Ellie handed over the hairbrush. I watched Luca work the boar bristles through the mass with a dreamy look on his face. How could such a simple thing make me stiff? I knew why. Whenever Luca touched Ellie’s hair, he transformed into a child with a new toy. From time to time he’d bite his lip in concentration or his tongue would poke out ever so slightly. In our moments of passion, he’d occasionally close his eyes and gather the silken mass in his hands and run the bounty over his bare chest or mine.

#SexySnippets

Another Sunday and another Sexy Snippets! The idea is to post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering a small sampling from Dreamscape ~
Written in homage to Agatha Christie,
Dreamscape is a haunting, a murder, a thriller, a mystery, a time-travel of sorts, and a love story that transcends time.
Not everything is as it appears in this sensual tale. Peppered throughout are little clues suggesting a story running behind the scenes. Will you find them all before the end?

Setting the Stage:
Lanie now knows about her ghost. Dr. Jason Bowen is the man she's been dreaming about for years. Still, a handsome ghost takes a little getting used to.

My Seven:
“I sense I make you nervous. I’d never hurt you, you know. Please believe that.”

“I believe you Jason, I -- I’m not dressed.”

“And I am a mere shadow of a man. Please don’t be shy in front of me, Lanie, I’m a ghost. Some would say I’m not even here,” he teased.

"Dreamscape is a beautifully told tale, blending the lives of two complex characters and two distinct time periods. I would best describe it as a very sensual romantic suspense." "I enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it."

#SexySnippets

It's Sunday and time for Sexy Snippets! Participants post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering a small sampling from Loving Leonardo (Book 1 in an ongoing Victorian polyamorous romance)

Setting the stage:  At this point in the story, Newlyweds Nicolas and Ellie are aboard ship. Here Nicolas sees Luca for the first time and feels an immediate attraction.

My 7:
When in the presence of true beauty, my mind often imagines the person unclothed as the artists of the ages might have seen him. At my table was a statue carved in marble by Gian Lorenzo Bernini; an artist known for his remarkable ability to capture the essence of a narrative moment. I found Luca Franco to be exactly that — a moment indelibly captured in time — a moment of meeting the mind could revisit in its entirety.

From every angle, he was beautifully made: black-haired, fit, of medium build. He possessed a warm hue to his skin, his lineage no doubt stamped centuries past by the darker Moors or Turks. In startling contrast, quite handsomely framed by black lashes, he had striking eyes the color one might see in a shadow falling across snow — not quite sky blue nor exactly steel gray, but a blending of the two in gradated rings.

I rose to shake his hand and felt the unmistakable current of compatibility.

"I don't normally like first person, but this book pulled me in from the start and wouldn't let go. It was beautifully written. Also, when it comes to erotic, I'm a graphic kind of girl with a sextreme rating. Loving Leonardo was neither really, and yet, hands down, it was the most erotic book I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I loved the ending and the way it signaled to a sequel. I can't wait. Ms Anderson, please hurry up and write it. I'm first in the queue for a copy."

Another Sunday and another Sexy Snippets! The idea is to post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering another small sampling from Loving Leonardo - The Quest (Book 2 in the ongoing Victorian polyamorous romance)

Setting the stage:
There's a bit of teasing going on. Luca kisses Ellie, and Nicolas feels it as surely as if he were the one being kissed.

My 7:
Meeting his eye, I silently mouthed, “Come to me.” He gave me an engaging wink over the top of her head. Instead of coming to me, the tease moistened his lips with his tongue and shook his head. Then taking Ellie’s hands, he bid her rise. Enfolding her in his arms, he wound the braid into his large hand. When he kissed her deeply, he also kissed my mind through her. And heaven help me, I felt the power of it keenly.

It's My Sexy Saturday! Participating authors post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words. For me, this time it's 7 sentences from Loving Leonardo (book 1 in the ongoing series)

Setting the Stage:
Here Ellie and Nicolas meet Luca for the first time. They're aboard ship having dinner with other travelers. Ellie just asked Luca about his personal pursuit of Leonardo da Vinci's genius. Nicolas is enthralled.

My 7:He gave her a genuine smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes. It was a very handsome smile indeed.  Even the blind could see that Luca Franco possessed an innate animal magnetism, but when he smiled the world tilted on its axis. My gaze went to my wife and knew she concurred by the distinctive tint upon her cheeks — the sexual tint I’d so recently come to recognize. I couldn’t help but wonder what brewed in her mind. As for myself, I harbored an undeniable attraction for the both of them. It was all I could do to keep the stallion of my imagination in the paddock.

My Sexy Saturday!

It's My Sexy Saturday! Participating authors post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words. For me, this time it's 7 paragraphs from Loving Leonardo - The Quest (book 2 in the series) The series began as news taken from 2013's headlines. I combined the talking points of the day, gave them a Victorian spin, and created a polyamorous romance written with an unusual touch of reader-interactive art history.

Setting the Stage~

My trio has Leonardo da Vinci's book and the hunt for clues hidden in artworks is on. Nicolas has had nightmares for the past several nights and is experiencing a growing sense of dread. And for good reason. In this scene, the newlywed adventurers Nicolas and Ellie share a private moment.

My Seven~

When the maid informed us our rooms were ready, we took our wine and glasses and made our way upstairs to our separate rooms to freshen up. Two steaming copper hipbaths on wheels sat near the stove with a towel-draped folding screen between them. Seeing no need for the screen, I hauled it off to the corner. There wasn’t much water in the tubs, but certainly enough with which to wash the travel dust away.

I watched my wife prepare herself, standing before the wall mirror, her tongue poking in concentration as she arranged the pins in her hair and tightened the curls that were want to spill free. Several cinnamon strands wouldn’t cooperate and these she rolled around and around her finger until they were tight curls to be tucked under the rest. I was transfixed by the deliberate feminine processes whose end results were suggestive of the coifs of Degas’ ballerinas. Thomas was correct. Women were a breed apart, but as the French said, Vive La DiffĂ©rence!

She removed her blouse, skirts, and bustle, and for some reason my mind took a different turn. In my mind’s eye I saw her naked and gagged with a burlap sack over her head. For two days now my mind had been intermittently taken by that terrible image, followed by an instantaneous albeit short-lived feeling of dread. I couldn’t say why, but for some reason I felt it now. The sensation that Thomas often referred to as “a goose walking over a grave.” Kneeling, I helped her from her shoes and stockings. Lifting the hem of her camisole, I pressed my forehead to her bare belly and hugged her to me. How I loved this precious nymph.

I’d felt such panic when Conte Bruno abducted her. Perhaps the image was just residual emotion that hadn’t time to drain away. Whatever it was, Ellie seemed unfazed by her experience. She was, without doubt, a most intrepid little thing. She’d taken the kidnapping in stride. I, on the other hand, was privy to information she didn’t have. Namely, the gang rape Bruno had planned for her. A shiver ran up my spine. In my mind, I pictured the face of the man I’d killed, the moment of surprise on his face just before I’d hit him with the statue of Apollo. I didn’t regret the act, but I couldn’t deny that had Bruno had more men there that night, her rescue could have gone terribly wrong.

When I glanced up, she was gazing down upon me. Her soft hands swept back my hair. I’d noticed in the past few weeks that we’d developed an unspoken language between us. This undoubtedly came about from our close contact and soul baring conversation, and the fact we had similar minds. Her next words proved how well she’d come to know me.

“What is it, Nicolas? Something is troubling you, I feel it.”

I lied. “No, my sweet, I’m only thinking of tomorrow.” Her raised eyebrow declared her doubt. Determined not to let her see the dark cloud in my mind, I sought redirection. I kissed her navel then circled it with the tip of my tongue. Meeting her gaze once more, I could see she believed me. I saw something else as well.

Sexy Snippets!

It's Sunday and time for Sexy Snippets Participants post just seven sentences to capture the imagination. Today, I'm offering another small sampling from Loving Leonardo (Book 1 in the Loving Leonardo series)

Setting the Stage~
Newlyweds Nicolas and Ellie have a conversation about a fellow passenger they sat with at dinner there first night aboard ship, one she felt showed more than a little interest in her new husband. Feeling a little uneasy about this topic, and new to the workings of the female mind, Nicolas finds he doesn't know what to say.

My Seven~

Her assertiveness appealed to me, no question about it. However, I wasn’t sure this was a topic one had with a wife. “I don’t think… ”

Fiddlesticks. If my own husband can’t talk to me about his lovemaking, then who can?”

My quickly-downed libations were affecting me. I didn’t know what words to use, where to begin, or even what to say, but that didn’t stop her interrogation.
